Potential Value For Feed Industry Of Partly Defatted Soybean Meal Based On Local Non Gm Beans.

The opportunity to set up a French integrated value chain from the production of soybean to the use of soybean meal is linked to its economic feasibility and in particular to the valorization of co-products. The study at the regional level (Southwest and Rhone Alpes) shows that a local partially defatted soybean meal has many lucrative opportunities related or not, to its non GMO character and its image "terroir". This gives it an economic interest against an imported soybean meal (standard or non GMO), which can however vary depending on the context of price, but also on the basis of the decisions of last market which will be made by the operators concerned (contracting or not for high quality markets).
