A Case of Early Cancer of Papilla Vater Without Symptom

Abstract
This report presents a case of early carcinoma of papilla Vater without symptom. An asymptomatic 47-year-old female consulted us for further evaluation of increase of alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and leucine aminopeptidase (LAP) . Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is performed, it visualized elevated lesion of the papilla Vater as duodenoscopy. Abdominal echography and ERCP revealed dilation of common bile duct (CBD) . Surgical resection is performed, pathological examination revealed that is well differentiated tubular adenocarcinoma and tumor cells were staying in mucosa. This case present that to find out and treat with early carcinoma of papilla Vater is very important to patient's prognosis. To diagnose early carcinoma of papilla Vater, ERCP and duodenoscopy may be very useful.
