Abstract

We report on our recent experimental studies of reactions relevant for the g process nucleosynthesis. Applying the activation method using the Cologne Clover Counting Setup total cross sections of the reactions Yb-168(alpha,gamma), Yb-168(alpha,n), and Re-187(alpha, n) could be obtained. Furthermore, the reaction Y-89(p,gamma) was investigated via the in-beam technique with HPGe detectors at the high-efficiency gamma-ray spectrometer HORUS in Cologne in order to determine partial and total cross sections.
