Abstract
This study describes the progress of building a reduced-order model of the ow around an airfoil with circulation control using a coanda jet. Two-dimensional URANS simulations provided the time-resolved snapshot database for the ows with actuation and the natural ow without blowing. The Proper-Orthogonal-Decomposition in combination with a Galerkin-projection is used to generate models of the di erent ow states. Since the models are supposed to be used for controller design in the future, several methods are implemented for feeding back the ow state to the model using few sensors on the airfoil surface, including arti cial neural networks and stochastic estimation.
