A comparison of therapeutic effects between Kung powder and Kung powder combined with LEEP on treating CIN as-sociated with HPV-infection

Abstract
Objective The study is designed to evaluate the therapeutic effect of Kung powder as a clinical treatment for cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (aka.CIN)complicated with HPV infection and observe the influence on curative effect when Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (aka.LEEP)is combined within the therapeutic regimens. Methods 1 20 ca-ses were selected from the patients who are diagnosed as CIN complicated with HPV infection in outpatient department of depart-ment of gynecology of our hospital during January 201 2 to January 201 4.Based on digital method,patients are randomly divided into two groups:observation group (60 cases)and control group (60 cases).In observer group we combined the external use of Kung powder with LEEP during treatment,while in control group patients were treated only with the external use of Kung powder.Then we analyzed and evaluated the therapeutic effect of both groups with a statistics analysis system. Results Kung powder is capable of improving the negative conversion rate of CIN Ⅰ,CIN Ⅱ,CIN3 patients,in which the negative conversion rate of CIN Ⅰ complicated with HPV infection rates the highest;Longer treatment period leads to higher cure rate:the cure rates of treatments lasting 1 -2,2-3 and 3-4 courses are 65%,76.67% and 85%;The treatment combining the external use of Kung powder with LEEP for CIN complicated with HPV infection (cure rate 1 00%)showed significantly more satisfying curative effect than the treatment using Kung powder externally along (cure rate 91 .67%). Conclusion Kung powder combining LEEP in the treatment regimen produces has easier operation,less trauma,lower costing,better clinical effect and less recurrence,which greatly improved the curative effect of CIN complicated with HPV infection.
