DEVELOPMENT OF A MULTI-ROOM BUILDING THERMAL MODEL FOR USE IN THE DESIGN PROCESS OF ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

To satisfy ever increasing needs for efficiency and environment protection the control systems for house energy management integrates more and more complex control algorithms and intelligent sensor networks. In order to develop such systems suitable building dynamics models are needed both for the control strategies and for the product testing and optimization procedures in the design phase. In this paper the development of an analytical multi-room building thermal model for use in the development process of house energy management systems is presented. The proposed model is tested by implementing in Matlab/Simulink the model of a building with 4 rooms.
