摘要
Objectives To investigate the association between Serum Uric Acid (SUA) and endothelial function in Chinese hypertentive patients with or without Metabolic Syndrome (MS). Methods SUA and endothelial function were evaluated in 615 hypertensive patients and 87 age- and sex-matched healthy controls. All subjects were classified into three groups: hypertensive patients with MS (MS group), hypertensive patients without MS (NMS group) and healthy control group (NC group). SUA was detected by the uricase peroxidase method. Endothelium-dependent dilatation (EDD based on the brachial flow mediated dilatation, FMD) and endothelium-independent vasodilation (EID) was determined using high-resolution vascular ultrasound. Results Increased SUA concentrations were found gradually among NC group, NMS group and MS group (323.77 ± 104.49 vs 353.63 ± 92.83 vs 390.90 ± 101.42 umol/l, p Conclusions Hypertensive patients with MS have worse endothelial function. In male aged less than 60 years old, SUA levels are inversely associated with endothelial function.
