摘要
ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to evaluate if an improvement in pregnancy and implantation rates is possible by using Laser Assisted Hatching (LAH) to thin two different thinning areas(quarter or half) of the zona pellucida in vitrified-devitrified embryonic cycles.DesignA prospective, randomised study was carried out at IVI-Murcia in 2012. A total of 124 cryotransfers belonged to patient's own oocytes were carried out on day three of embryo development.Materials and MethodsThe groups were homogeneous in terms of BMI, age, embryo quality and the number of embryos transferred per cycle. Thinning of the zona pellucida was carried out using the Octax laser shot system with quarter LAH zona pellucida thinning on devitrified embryos for 62 patients. Half LAH zona pellucida thinning was applied to the remaining 62 cryotransfer embryos. Statistical analysis was carried out using a Fisher test with significance when p<0.05.ResultsTabled 1Results by group of patients, according Quarter LAH/Half LAHQuarter LAHHalf LAHpN6262Pregnancy rate35.4 %30.1%0.7029Implantation rate29.2%26.3%0.7492Abortion rate9.0%10.5%1.0000 Open table in a new tab ConclusionThere are no significant differences in any of the parameters.
