摘要
Antioxidant supplements are used by athletes as a means to counteract the oxidative stress of exercise. However, the effect of chronic antioxidant supplements on cardiovascular responses to dynamic exercise is not well understood. Therefore, we investigated the hemodynamic responses during cycle exercise after intravenous supplements of antioxidant vitamins in college soccer athletes. Eleven healthy subjects were instrumented to measure heart rate (HR), stroke volume (SV), cardiac output (CO) and mean arterial pressure (MAP) before and after 700 ml intravenous supplementation with antioxidant compound (B‐com, vitamin C, gluthation, vitamin B 12 , vitamin B 5 , vitamin B 6 , L‐ carnitine, magnesium sulphate, glycchyrizin, vitamin B 1 , thiot acid in isotonic sodium chloride solution), 14 times for one month. Total vascular conductance (127.1±8.7 vs. 137.2±9.3 ml/min/Hg), SV (123.7±7.8 vs. 137.8±7.7 ml), and CO (11.8±0.8 vs. 13±0.9 L) were significantly increased after the antioxidant supplements, where there were no differences in MAP and HR. The results indicate that antioxidant compound‐induced increases in SV and CO can increase oxygen delivery to exercising skeletal muscles and improve exercise performance. Effects may be due to attenuation of sympathetic‐induced vasoconstriction in skeletal muscle during dynamic exercise. Supported by Kyung Nam Pharm CO.
