摘要
•Addition of B to Ti-1100 resulted in refinement in the as-cast grain size.•The TiB whiskers in Ti-1100-0.1B exhibited more damage in α−β processed condition.•In β processed condition, equiaxed α was seen in Ti-1100-0.1B in the α−β region.•Tensile properties of the base alloy were lower in the β-processed condition.•Fracture toughness of base alloy was higher than that of Ti-1100B in all condition.
