Abstract
Analysis of cosmic ray fluctuations during the solar activity cycle (1980-1990) shows the presence of a significant correlation between the amplitude of cosmic ray fluctuations and the level of solar activity (Wolf number). We propose that this correlation is due to cosmic ray modulation by magnetosonic turbulence, which evolves in a similar manner during the solar cycle.
