Optical Frequency-Dependence Of Photoelastic Coefficients Of Fused Silica
JOURNAL OF APPLIED PHYSICS(1976)
Abstract
Measurements of the dispersion of the photoelastic coefficients and acousto-optic figures of merit of fused silica are presented. Values of p11 and p12 decrease by 10 and 4%, respectively, between 676 and 458 nm. Independent measurements of p44 and (p11 −p12)/2 agree within 1% and are nondispersive.
