Abstract
We experimentally demonstrated 100-GHz wavelength tunable clock recovery from 100-Gb/s RZ-OOK signal utilizing a wavelength-converter based on semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA), followed by a Fabry–Perot (FP) filter and a subsequent SOA equalizer. Wavelength-tunable 100-GHz optical clock extraction has been demonstrated from 1542nm to 1565nm. Stable optical clocks with a timing jitter of ~250fs, a pulsewidth of ~3ps, and an amplitude fluctuation of less than 10% were obtained for all the wavelengths.
