After development for over 50 years, presently it has entered extra-high water cut phase, with sparsely distributed remaining oil and little tapping potentials. Therefore, in order to meet the requirement of developing oilfields with dense well pattern in extra-high water cut phase, high-density 3-D seismic technique with high space density sampling and rich geological information were fully used. A series of techniques to integrate well data and seismic data is applied including high-density 3-D seismic acquisition, high fidelity seismic processing, detailed characterization of faults and fine reservoirs description. The technical issues including identification of minor faults and interwell sandbody description of thin sand-shale interbedded layers were basically resolved with dense well pattern. The results in guiding adjustment and tapping potential show favorable application prospect and significant reference to fine reservoir description by integration of well data and seismic data in the similar old fields.
