Orthogonal separations: Comparison of orthogonality metrics by statistical analysis

摘要
•Twenty orthogonality metrics (OMs) were calculated from 47 2D chromatograms.•Cross-correlation and principal component analyses showed that OMs were related.•The OMs were correlated with the grades of nine experts in 2D chromatography.•Specific OMs and products of OMs were able to identify the best chromatograms.•Orthogonality is realized by maximizing OM products correlated with the grades.
