Lidar measurements of the middle atmosphere

This paper describes a new lidar facility that has been established for atmospheric measurements from the ground up to approximately 90 km altitude. Measurements of stratospheric aerosols and ozone are presented, and density and temperature profiles into the mesosphere are analyzed to derive information about atmospheric gravity waves.
