Abstract
There is a significant body of evidence addressing the factors associated with self-management in patients with heart failure (HF). However, there is a dearth of research examining how disease self-management is affected by HF diagnosis. It has been posited that patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) may face different challenges in responding effectively to their condition compared to heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). The following study investigated the impact of HF diagnosis on patients’ coping styles, health-related quality of life and self-management behaviour in HF.
