Combustion characteristics of tire pyrolysis oil in turbo charged compression ignition engine

摘要
•100% tire pyrolysis oil was tested in a commercial 6-cyl. turbocharged CI engine.•Stable combustion was achieved without engine modifications.•ROHR resembles the one of the D2 above 70% of peak power without intercooler.•At full load, break thermal efficiency was almost the same for both fuels.•Combustion and emission formation phenomena are correlated to the fuel properties.
