Models for photoinduced processes in polymeric materials

The article focusses on energy transfer experiments and on photoconductivity measurements in polymeric materials. The results are interpreted in terms of scaling theories; fractals are used to describe the spatial and continuous-time random walks (CTRW) the temporal disorder. We display some successful applications of scaling ideas and also draw attention to the limitations of the models.
