PREPARATION AND FORMATION OF HIGH-Tc PHASE IN Bi2−xPbxSr2Ca2Cu3Oy SYSTEM

With the aim of preparing a single, high-Tc phase in the Bi2−xPbxSr2Ca2Cu3Oy system, optimization of the composition and heat treatment have been studied. It was found that the composition at which the more high-Tc phase forms, was x=0.4 and in condition (3). For sample 3 (x=0.4), specific heat anomaly indicates that the superconductivity of high-Tc phase was bulk phenomenon. This means there is more volume fraction of high-Tc phase in this sample.
