Supramolecular structures constructed from three novel rare earth metal complexes

Three rare earth metal supramolecular complexes, {[Tb( L 2 ) 4 ](ClO 4 ) 3 ⋅2H 2 O( 1 ), [Eu( L 2 ) 2 (H 2 O) 5 ] (ClO 4 ) 3 ( 2 ) and [Gd(NO 3 ) 3 ( L 2 ) 2 ] ⋅2CH 3 CH 2 OH( 3 ) ( L 2 = 3-Dimethylamino-1-pyridin-2-yl-propenone), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure analysis reveals that the coordination numbers of three complexes ( 1–3) are 8, 9 and 10, respectively. Three complexes assembled into 3D frameworks based on C-H ⋯O, O-H ⋯O hydrogen bond linkages.
