An ELISA using recombinant TmHSP70 for the diagnosis of Taenia multiceps infections in goats

•We develop a novel ELISA for detecting T. multiceps infections in goats using TmHSP70.•The TmHSP70 gene was successfully amplified, cloned and expressed in BL21(DE3).•The recombinant TmHSP70 protein exhibited good immunogenic properties.•The TmHSP-based ELISA exhibited high sensitivity and specificity.•The TmHSP-based ELISA is a novel tool for the rapid diagnosis of coenurosis in goats.
