摘要

•Hydrous pyrolysis of anammox biomass resulted in generation of novel lipids.•One was isolated and identified using 1D and 2D NMR as 11-ethyl,14-propyltetracosane.•2D GC–MS revealed a series of branched long chain alkanes.•They might be biomarkers for past anammox (anoxic) activity.
