A Method For Simulating The Car-Entering Movement For Variably Dimensioned Vehicles

This paper proposes a four-step method for simulating the car-entering movement for variably dimensioned vehicles:build an adapted movement databaseidentify and characterise the car-entering movement strategies and sub-strategiessimulate the trajectories of the characteristic points for a new vehiclecompute the joint angles and the pelvis orientation and simulate the car-entering movement for a new vehicle.The method is validated on an experimental vehicle. In spite of the differences between the measured movement and the simulated one for the new vehicle, the same sub-strategy is adopted in both movements. Trials are proposed to improve the simulation.
