摘要
Currently proven correlation between epileptic seizures and changes in hormonal background of organism, although their mechanisms are not fully understood. Methods In 50 girls and 39 boys with epilepsy, as well as 47 girls and 57 boys aged 8–17 years comparison group investigated blood levels of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), antibodies to thyroglobulin (a/b TG), triiodothyronine (T3), thyroxine (T4), cortisol (C) and parathyroid hormone (paraT). Results and conclusions It was found that there are 2 age groups in which significantly different (p≥0.90) blood levels in boys with epilepsy TSH and C, in girls with epilepsy – C, boys of comparison group – T3, T4, C, in girls of comparison group – T3, T4, C, paraT. In girls with epilepsy blood levels of paraT significantly different in the three age groups. Significant differences in the content of all hormones in the blood of boys with epilepsy and comparison group of boys, girls with epilepsy and girl of comparison group, in content of C in boys and girls with epilepsy, as well as T3, T4 and paraT in boys and girls of comparison group.
