Silver incorporated microencapsulation of n -hexadecane and n -octadecane appropriate for dynamic thermal management in textiles

•PCM microcapsules with the particle sizes between 163 and 496nm.•Increased thermal conductivity by implementing silver nanoparticles.•The heat absorbed by microcapsules are 137Jg−1 at 22°C and 168Jg−1 at 33°C.•Potential for thermal managing in textiles, buildings, solar walls, packaging.
