Abstract
Comprehensive Cardiac Rehabilitation (CR) is known to reduce cardiac mortality and hospital readmission rates. A therapeutic gap exists as the minority of patients attend CR following an event. This is driven by a lack of resources necessary for funding CR. The perception of increased costs has been cited by the government as a barrier to CR funding.
