Abstract

Results of measurements of Pb multicharge (MC) ion energy spectra are presented. These ds were obtained by heating a flat target with CO2-laser radiation. One- and two-dimensional computations of the lead plasma ion composition were performed. The close agreement between calculated and experimental ion energy spectra gave grounds to conclude that the plasma electron temperature can be determined in a critical plasma density area.
