摘要
•This study was a part of the JaCVAM validation of the in vivo rat comet assay.•Cadmium chloride showed equivocal responses in the liver and stomach.•Chloroform did not induce DNA damage in the liver or stomach.•d,l-Menthol gave negative results in the liver and stomach.•These results indicate that the comet assay can reflect genotoxic properties.
