Construction of a cytogenetic dose–response curve for low-dose range gamma-irradiation in human peripheral blood lymphocytes using three-color FISH

•Chromosome aberrations induced in peripheral blood lymphocytes by irradiations were studied.•3-color FISH was conducted to score dicentrics and translocations.•A dose–response curve of gamma irradiations (0–300mGy) was constructed.•The dose–response curve provided a good fit to the linear-quadratic model.
