The Titan Haze Simulation experiment on COSmIC: Probing Titan’s atmospheric chemistry at low temperature

•Titan’s atmospheric chemistry is simulated by plasma at low temperature (150K).•Time-of-Flight mass spectrometry is used to monitor the chemical growth evolution.•The first and intermediate steps of the chemistry are probed.•Specific chemical pathways (including some involving nitrogen) are identified.•First comparison of lab gas phase data to CAPS–IBS data shows promising results.
