摘要

•We have conducted a multi-instrument study of the Lassell massif on the Moon.•We find consistent evidence supporting a silicic volcanic origin for the massif.•Spectral and morphologic indications of viscous extrusions are observed.•Small-scale, low-reflectance and other deposits may imply pyroclastic activity.•Crater size-frequency distributions present anomalous model ages.
