Eight-color maps of Titan’s surface from spectroscopy with Huygens’ DISR

•We created Titan maps of 250km size in eight wavelengths 520–935nm, 3660 pixels.•Principal component analysis reveals three significant components.•First component: brightness, well known from imaging data, very dominant.•Second component: spectral slope, far more results than known previously.•Third component: spectral curvature, not seen before on Titan in our spectral range.
