Abstract

This paper addresses a simulation study of the QoScompliant IEEE 802.11e WLAN protocol in a realistic wireless network scenario, featuring client/server Me transfer applications as well Voice-over-IP (VoIP) multimedia traffic sources. We focus on the investigation of 802.11e EDCA and HCCA access procedures configuration issues. Simulation results are presented, showing the relevance of a well-tuned calibration of 802.11e parameters on system performances.
