Abstract
Summary Of 503 healthy pigs the mesenteric lymph nodes as well as the feces were examined as to the presence ofSalmonella. In 14 animals (2.78%) the presence of these bacteria in the lymph nodes was established. The testing of all of the samples of feces gave negative results. The following types ofSalmonella were found:S. typhi murium (7 ×),S. dublin (4×),S. enteritidis (1 ×),S. newport (1 ×) andS. give (1 ×).
