摘要

•We have evaluated a multiplex real time RT-PCR assay for the detection of rotavirus A and noroviruses.•The multiplex RT-qPCR increased the positivity rate of both viruses compared with routinely used methods, demonstrated in clinical samples.•The viruses detected were molecular characterized, showing the circulation of two emergent genotypes.
