RT-PCR and sequence analysis of the full-length Fusion protein of Canine Distemper Virus from domestic dogs.

•This work provides the first report on the full-length F gene sequences in Argentina.•Full-length F genes of local CDV strains were cloned and sequenced.•The highest divergence with the vaccine strain was found in the Fsp region.•Argentine strains shared a phylogenetic clade, distant from vaccine strains.
