Abstract

•RF induced MRI artifacts were investigated experimentally and by simulation.•We investigate artifacts by analyzing image distortions surrounding strips of metals.•The strip geometry was chosen to mimic electrodes in electrochemistry studies.•The RF simulation results are in good agreement with experimental results.
