Abstract
•Honey samples from different botanical and geographical origins were collected.•PCA of pollen data discriminated clearly the botanical and geographical origin of honeys.•PCA of Raman spectra gave good models for botanical discrimination of honeys.•Chemometrics is a good statistical tool to support the generated data of melissopalynology.•FT-microRaman spectroscopy is a promising tool to discriminate the honey based on its botanical origin.
