Novel molecular events associated with altered steroidogenesis induced by exposure to atrazine in the intact and castrate male rat
Reproductive Toxicology(2014)
Abstract
•Atrazine increases serum progesterone and corticosterone in both intact and castrate male rats.•Luteinizing hormone, androstenedione and testosterone were expressed non-monotonically.•Testicular proteins known to be regulated by ubiquitin C were expressed in a non-monotonic fashion.•Two adrenal proteins, HSPD1 and PGRMC1 were correlated; PGRMC1 correlated with testosterone.
