Abstract
•We investigated the association of Lp-PLA2 with prognostic vascular markers in CAD.•Lp-PLA2 was related abnormal digital reactive hyperemia and coronary flow reserve.•Lp-PLA2 was related with carotid atherosclerosis and increased arterial stiffness.•Lp-PLA2, digital reactive hyperemia and coronary flow reserve were related with prognosis at 3 years f/u.•The prognostic value of Lp-PLA2 is likely mediated by its effects on vascular properties.
