Cell cycle-dependent regulation of Aurora kinase B mRNA by the Microprocessor complex.

•Aurora kinase B mRNA is cleaved by the Microprocessor complex.•Knock-down of the Microprocessor increases Aurora kinase B expression.•The cleavage is reduced during mitosis leading to the accumulation of the Aurora kinase B.•The activity of the Microprocessor complex is regulated in a cell cycle-dependent manner.
