Abstract
The catechol estrogen 2-hydroxyestrone was administered iv to six normal women at a dose of 80 µg/h for 4 h. In contrast to previous studies, no suppression of plasma PRL concentrations and no effect on LH or FSH were observed. We found no evidence to suggest that this compound behaves peripherally as anything other than a weak estrogen
