摘要

•Tolperisone has no effect on BOLD responses in the resting brain.•Electric paw stimulation caused BOLD increase in several brain areas.•Tolperisone inhibits BOLD increase with some selectivity for pain sensing areas.•These effects can be explained by state dependent channel block of tolperisone.•These results support the side effect free analgesic action of tolperisone.
