Riccardin D induces cell death by activation of apoptosis and autophagy in osteosarcoma cells.
Toxicology in Vitro(2013)
Abstract
•Riccardin D inhibited proliferation and induced G1 arrest regardless of p53 status in human osteosarcoma cells.•Riccardin D triggered apoptosis was through cleavage of caspases, PARP and increasing Bax/Bcl-2 ratio.•Riccardin D induced autophagy was accompanied by accumulation of LC3B-II, formation of AVOs and punctate dots.
