Perceived rise in the incidence of celiac disease in the US military maybe due to more than one factor.

To the Editor: It was with great interest we read the article by Riddle et al. (1) analyzing incidence of celiac disease among the US military. Celiac disease remains a disease of great importance due to complications such as osteoporosis, neurologic symptoms, anemia, cancer, and impairment of quality of life (2).
