Performance Analysis of a Truncated Top U-Slot Triangular Shape MSA for Broadband Applications

This attempt has been made to create a high bandwidth operational antenna by loading an U-slot on the triangular radiating patch. The novel configuration has been proposed for the broadband operation. The proposed antenna configuration has been simulated on IE3D and verified with experimental observations. The antenna characteristics like return loss, gain and efficiency and radiation pattern have been observed at various frequencies. This antenna is also providing resonance at the desirable frequency. This design is getting a high bandwidth antenna for lower microwave frequencies like 800–1300 MHz.
