Human parvovirus B19 infection during pregnancy and its possible impact on perinatal outcome in the obstetric population of Kuwait.

Human Parvovirus B19 has been implicated as a primary aetiological agent in erythema infectiosum and aplastic crisis in patients with chronic haemolytic anaemias. Human Parvovirus B19 is also considered as a cause of non-immune hydrops fetalis and intrauterine fetal death.
