Mosaic chemotherapy strategies for developing ALS/MND therapeutic approaches: beta-2 adrenergic agonists.

ALS/MND therapeutics will require juxtaposition in the patient of 1. primary treatments to mitigate the underlying pathogenesis of ALS/MND, 2. adjuvant treatments to stop propagating events trying to maximize survival, strength and function, and 3. symptomatic treatments to minimize symptoms and complications resulting from ALS/MND (Figure 1). Little attention has been paid to the strategies to develop mosaic therapeutic approaches in ALS/MND and how to evaluate efŽciently the potential efŽcacy and safety of mosaic therapies.
