摘要
Neurological Soft Signs (NSS) are a manifestation of neurofunctional alterations and developmental delay expressed in motor and sensory integration tasks. In the present study we examined their interaction with verbal skills in preschoolers, assessing the presence of NSS and analyzing their association in 57 participants aged three to five years enrolled in preschool education, with no neurological/psychiatric history, using the Scale to assess SNB-MX and the WPPSI-III. The results show a profile of evolution and decrease in the presence of NSS. Associations were observed between NSS and verbal skills at the ages evaluated, indicating that the lower the presence of signs of sensory integration, the better the performance in tasks involving verbal skills. The relationship between NSS and verbal skills is underlined as an indicator of their significance in development and the relevance of their insertion in the clinical/educational field in order to have an excellent tool in the prevention of learning difficulties, to procure wellbeing and correct development from early ages.
